Around here he is known as Dad, Papa and Paul. He loves his Cardinals as well as many other sports. He is a gardener and plants a pumpkin patch for his grandkids each year that is out of this world! If I ever want to talk farming weather or politics, he is the man to call :) We love you Paul! Happy Birthday!

Easter 2010
We had a wonderful weekend celebrating Easter in Mitchell. Some of the highlights were:
Enjoying a "4 generation lunch" with my Grandma, mom and girls
Back rubs and head massages
Coloring easter eggs (without Owen)- yes, we planned that
Beautiful weather the entire weekend. What a blessing!
Attending Easter service at the church I grew up in.
Enjoying a delicious meal cooked by my mom! Paul and Darlene joined us as well.
Happy Easter!

Music to our ears...
Lauren and Jillian had their first piano recital yesterday. They each did a wonderful job and we are so proud of them! They have put many hours into practice and lessons and it is fun to see and hear how they have been developing and progessing.

A lot changes in 11 years....
We have enjoyed spending the weekend with our good friends the Carter's. Tamra and I went to Augustana and completed our nursing degrees together. Since then, we have both got married, moved several times and had children. Our friendship has remained strong through the years. Tamra and her family now live in Broomfield CO. The kids have been having a great time wrestling, playing outside and even making lefse!

Happy St Patrick's Day
The kids have enjoyed learning about Leprechauns today. I must say I knew nothing about them nor do I care to- but sometimes it amazes me how I can go through my whole life having known nothing about these made up little creatures. I guess there is a little truth to the saying "everything you need to know you learned in Kindergarten" Apparently, I was not in class the day we learned about Leprechauns. :)
Did you know ( according to Jillian and Madelyn)
Leprechauns are tiny
Leprechauns live on rainbows
Lephrechauns are tricky and sneaky
Leprechauns have red beards
Leprechauns can escape from very small spaces
Leprechauns do not leave gold for people that are not wearing green
Leprechauns are very rarely seen
Happy Saint Patrick's Day!!
