I thank God for the ladies in the above pictures that have helped influence, inspire and support me in my profession of motherhood.  Because of them, I have been blessed with these wonderful kids that call me "Mom".  I have the best job in the world! 

 

Spring 2012

 Dance Recital 2012

The girls have been going to dance class once a week for the entire school year.  Yesterday was the dance recital.  They performed to a sold out crowd and did an amazing job!  Madelyn performed ballet, Jillian did a dance/tumbling piece and Lauren was part of a dance team number.  We had lots of fun dressing up and caking on the stage make-up.  Both sets of grandparents joined us and we celebrated afterwards with dessert at Fry'n Pan.

Also this past Spring.....  Here is Lauren performing a solo at her recent Yankton Children's Choir Spring Concert.  She worked very hard on her part and it really showed! 

 The kids completed another year of AWANA.  Lauren and Jillian received awards this year for completing their book as well as a review book.

Owen and Madelyn also completed their books and received awards earlier in the year. 

As most of you know, its been a beautiful and sometimes even HOT spring.  Will celebrated the first swim of the season (in April) by jumping in with his scrubs on. 

Happy Birthday

Happy birthday to Paul (April 11th) and Darlene (April 16th)!  We got everyone together at Jay and Natalie's yesterday and celebrated with pizza and cake.  We wish them many more happy and blessed years!

Spring Training

We had the privilege of going to Jupiter Florida with Paul, Darlene, Jay and Natalie.  The Cardinals hold their Spring Training down near the West Palm Beach area each spring.  We had an AWESOME time.  The guys enjoyed many hours of Cardinals baseball and us women shopped till we dropped.   The ocean was beautiful as was the weather.  We could not have asked for a more perfect get away with just the adults!  A big thank you to my parents for holding down the fort while we were gone.

Minneapolis weekend

We had a 3 day weekend so decided to take the kids to Minneapolis for the weekend.  Here are the girls and I at the American Girl Bistro inside the Mall of America.  We had a lovely lunch with our dolls Hannah, Amy and Jessica.  Before our lunch the dolls had their ears pierced at the American Girl Salon.  It was a big day for us and the dolls! 

The boys had some fun as well.  Here they are at the Lakers vs Timberwolves game.  Will was pretty excited when he checked the schedule and noticed his favorite team the Lakers happened to be in town that weekend. They had a great time cheering the Lakers on to victory.  We spent the rest of the time inside the Mall of America riding the rides inside the Nickelodeon Theme park and of course shopping.

A very happy baby!  I loved holding him on my lap like this and making faces at him.

Here he is waking up on the morning of his 4th birthday.  As you can see he is in Jillian's bed.  This has been the norm for quite some time.  He goes to bed in his own room but at some point in the night wakes up and gets in bed with Jillian.  I think he realizes Jillian is the only sister that would allow this to happen every night.  We figure it's a phase and he will want his own space in his own bed soon enough.  The question is how long will Jillian put up with it :)
